Rep. Leonard Lance Town Hall gets loud

BRANCHBURG, N.J. - A standing-room-only crowd filled the auditorium of Raritan Community College Wednesday night when local Republican Congressman Leonard Lance held a contentious town hall meeting.

Lance, who represents parts of Warren, Hunterdon and other counties, faced tough questions from the crowd.

Many people who attended the meeting were upset with what republican lawmakers are doing in Washington.

"I'm hoping to hear from him after he gets back…and…show what he heard," said Lynn Becker who got a ticket to the town hall.

Not only were all seats taken inside the auditorium but an overflow room was also at capacity.

A large group of protesters also gathered outside.

"We think it's really important to send a message…we aren't going to stand-by and let them mess with our healthcare," said Phyllis Salowe-Kaye of New Jersey Citizen Action.

So many people wanted to attend this town hall that a second town hall had to be scheduled for Saturday morning.
