Richardo Salgado-Marban, wanted in rape of minor in Georgia, arrested in Berks County

ROBESON TWP., Pa. - A man who was wanted for allegedly raping a woman in Georgia has been arrested in Berks County, authorities said.

Richardo Salgado-Marban was apprehended Monday in the 1800 block of Kline Road in Robeson Township, the U.S. Marshals said.

Salgado-Marban, 53, of Gainesville, raped a 32-year-old woman in Hall Co., Georgia, on May 3, 2011, and went on the run after posting bail, the county's district attorney said Tuesday.

The U.S. Marshals initially reported the alleged victim was a minor.

Salgado-Marban was committed to the Berks County Jail while he awaits extradition to Georgia.
