Saturday's Local Forecast

VIDEO: Mark Shanaberger's Local Forecast

Tonight: Very cold and clear with less wind. Low: 10

Sunday: Mostly sunny and chilly; then increasing clouds at night with some sleet and freezing rain arriving late. High: 37 Low: 24

Most of the Lehigh Valley picked up around 3 to 6 inches of snow on Friday with higher amounts just to the north and east and lesser amounts to the south and west.  Once the snow cleared out early this morning we were left a good amount of sunshine for the rest of the day.  The winds were a big story today causing some blowing and drifting of the snow along with making it feel bitterly cold all day long.  Very cold conditions will be featured overnight as lows tumble into the single digits and teens under clear skies.  High pressure will settled into the region on Sunday giving us mostly sunny skies along with light winds and highs in the mid to upper 30s.  The cloud cover will begin to increase once again on Sunday night as another storm system slides closer to the area.  Some sleet and freezing rain looks to arrive late Sunday night into early Monday morning causing some slick spots to develop on area roadways.  Rain will quickly take over on Monday morning as temperatures climb above the freezing mark for the rest of the day.
