Bus crash victims improve

CHESTERFIELD TWP., Pa. - Two students who were badly injured in a school bus crash last month are improving, hospital officials said Thursday.

Sophie Tezsla and Jonathan Zdybel, both 11, have been upgraded from critical to stable condition.

One of Tezsla's triplet sisters, Isabelle, was killed in the crash; her other sister was also injured, but later released from the hospital.

Isabelle's funeral is scheduled for Friday.

Seventeen of the 25 students on board the bus were hurt when it collided with a dump truck in Chesterfield Twp., Burlington Co., N.J., on Feb. 16.

The crash is still under investigation, but initial findings by the National Transportation Safety Board were that the bus driver did not see the truck.
