Officials are urging the state to act fast to fix Buck County's crumbling bridges.
Thursday in Sellersville State Representative Paul Clymer joined forces with officials from PennDOT and SEPTA.
They met at the North Main Street Bridge which crosses the Perkiomen Creek.
The bridge is labeled as "structurally-deficient."
Officials say the state desperately needs to pass a transportation-funding bill.
They say the old bridges aren't just a safety issue but an economic one, too.
"I will tell you companies planning to consider Pennsylvania as a business location recognize that transportation maintenance has to be a state priority," said Representative Clymer.
PennDOT says Bucks County has 131 state-owned bridges that are labeled as structurally-deficient.
