Contractor didn't sign in, causes lock down at high schools

Pennsbury issues the all clear.

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. - Two high schools in a Bucks County school district had a brief lock down Wednesday morning.

According to Pennsbury School District in Fairless Hills, an unidentified person was seen in the building at one of the high schools.

Police came to investigate and both Pennsbury East and West high schools were put on lockdown around 8:45 a.m.

By 9:20 a.m. the situation was resolved, officials said.

The individual in question turned out to be an outside contractor who didn't follow the normal check-in procedures.

The lockdown was lifted and the school day resumed.
