Motorcyclist seriously injured when bike hits deer, pole

DOUGLASS TWP., Pa. - A motorcyclist was seriously injured when his bike struck a deer that crossed his path, causing him to hit a utility pole.

The accident happened around 10:10 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of Hoffmansville Road in Douglass Twp., Montgomery Co.

Police and sheriff's deputies, along with two passersby, provided first aid to the victim until EMS crews arrived on the scene, police said.

The injured motorcyclist was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown, but police could provide no information about his condition.

No one else was injured.
