Perkasie police welcome new four-legged officer

PERKASIE, Pa. - A Bucks County police department is welcoming a four-legged officer to the force.

Sampson is the new K-9 member for the Perkasie police squad.

Sampson joined the team on Wednesday.

He's a shepherd mix who turns three next month.

The department says Sampson is receiving quite a welcome from the community.

We're told the public has donated more than $16,000 to help pay for Sampson.
