Pottstown man accused of trying to meet teen for sex to be in court

POTTSTOWN, Pa. - A preliminary hearing is scheduled Tuesday for a Pottstown man accused of trying to meet a 14-year-old boy for sex.

Police say 46-year-old Ian Jalbert posted an ad on Craigslist and began a conversation with a detective who was posing as a child.

Officers say Jalbert arranged to meet the "boy" at a shopping center in Upper Providence Township so they could engage in sexual acts.

Police arrested Jalbert and charged him with unlawful contact with a minor and related offenses.

He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail on $50,000 bail.
