Shots ring out in Pottstown, leaving man hospitalized

POTTSTOWN, Pa. - Shots rang out early Saturday morning in Pottstown, leaving one man hospitalized.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Jefferson Avenue, near the corner of Liberty Alley.

Authorities say a man was shot once in the lower back. He was taken to Reading Trauma Center, and there's no word on his condition.

Crews at the scene tell 69 News at least four shots were fired, with one of the bullets hitting the victim.

At this point, there's no word on whether any arrests have been made.
