Sovereign Bank robbed in Schuylkill County

Man robs bank and gets away on motorcycle

WEST PENN TWP., Pa. - Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed a bank in Schuylkill County before speeding off on a motorcycle.

The holdup happened around 10 a.m. Friday at the Sovereign Bank, 2092 West Penn Pike, in West Penn Township.

The robber demanded money and then fled with cash on a motorcycle, possibly a Harley-Davidson, that was two-toned in color, possibly black and dark maroon, police said.

The robber was described as a white man who stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a slender build and red hair. He was wearing a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, sneakers and sunglasses.

No one was hurt in the holdup.
