Spring forward with old tractors

Spring plowing show

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - You can have some old fashioned fun on the farm this weekend in Berks County.

The Old Time Plow Boys Club is holding its 25th annual Spring Plowing Show. It's Saturday and Sunday at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University.

More than 100 tractors, including some 19th century steam tractors, will be on display and demonstrating what they can do. There will also be tractor pulls, games, wagon rides, and more!

The goal is getting back to your roots.

"One of the things we really pride ourselves in is preserving our farming heritage. Berks County is really deep in agriculture. You'll see equipment out here that you may have only heard stories about from your grandparents," explained Larry Knerr, president of the Old Time Plow Boys Club.

Parking is free, and admission is also free!

The vintage farm demonstrations will take place at 22 Luckenbill Road in Kutztown from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
