St. Joe's Prep, South Fayette win state titles

St. Joe's Prep and South Fayette each won PIAA state football championships in convincing fashion on Sunday in Hershey.

South Fayette beat Philadelphia powerhouse Imhotep Charter 41-0 in the 2A state final.

Imhotep Charter had shut out both Catasauqua and Berks Catholic in the two weeks leading up to the state final.

St. Joe's Prep cruised by Pittsburgh Central Catholic 35-10 in the 4A state title game.

St. Joe's Prep had ended Parkland and Neshaminy's seasons in the two weeks heading into the state final.
