Tuesday might be one of the warmest days of the year so far, but local ski resorts say their season is far from over.
Officials at Blue Mountain Ski Area in Palmerton, Carbon County, say with over eight feet of snow in some spots, the mountain will most likely be open for several more weeks.
Some skiers and snowboards say they prefer the spring, and experts say the spring is a really good time to learn.
"I like the warm temperatures, the soft conditions. If you fall it's very forgiving, really no ice or hard pack, and I just feel more free, more flexible. You don't have to wear so many layers," explained Jim Dailey, general manager of Blue Mountain Ski Area.
He also said it tends to be less crowded, which is nice for beginners.
Blue Mountain actually opened back in November this season, and employees hope to be able to stay open until mid-April.
