Local businesses and community leaders are teaming together to "flash some gold." It's all part of an annual event that gets bigger and bigger each year to fund cures for kids with cancer.
Flashes of Gold takes place next Thursday, September 29, at the Riverview Country Club in Easton from 6-9PM. The event was started in honor of David Heard, and all proceeds benefit the David's Warrior Hero Fund to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
One of the event organizers, Elaine Zelker, joined WFMZ's Eve Russo on 69 News at Sunrise along with local mom, Sarah, her son, Jack, and her daughter, Phoebe, who say this event has an extra special importance to them this year.
