Teen involved in January attack heads to treatment center

CUMRU TWP., Pa. - A 15-year-old boy who was wounded during an attempted robbery on a Berks County bike trail is going to a treatment center.

A judge ordered the boy to a residential facility in the western part of the state Tuesday.

Officials say he was wounded when he and two other boys tried to rob a man on the Thun Trail in Cumru Township in January.

One of the other boys was killed.

The shooter was not charged because police say he was acting in self defense.
