Detainees, car released in Zakaiyah Halley investigation

VIDEO: Car/suspects in Palmer...

PALMER TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Palmer Township police have released two people initially detained in the investigation into the February 8th hit-and-run death of 18-year-old Zakaiyah Halley.

Also, an impounded Mazda 6 car found on Morris Street in Phillipsburg has been ruled out as being involved in the incident.

Police now say they are looking for a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala with a rounded shape.

The vehicle may also have damage to the passenger side undercarriage and front passenger side wheel well.

Investigators say Halley was at the Palmer Park Mall before her death and was asked to leave after a loud argument.

It’s unclear if that incident was related to Halley’s death.
