Trump pitches tax plan to Harrisburg crowd

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Inside an airplane hangar on the Harrisburg Air National Guard Base, President Donald Trump talked taxes in front of a crowd of about 1,000 people Wednesday.

He focused on truckers, hailing them as heroes and promising tax relief.

"Nothing gets done in America without the hard working men and women of the trucking industry," said Trump.

The president pitched his new tax plan which he says will bring back jobs and raise wages for American workers, targeting truckers specifically. He also says he plans to cut the corporate tax rate to boost wages for middle class workers.

"You'll do your tax on a single piece of paper, H&R block will not like Donald Trump very much," said Trump.

During his speech, Trump also promised an infrastructure plan which would benefit truckers as well, with a focus on roads and highways.

"My administration is also committed to passing a historic infrastructure package that will generate $1 trillion to rebuild America's crumbling infrastructure."

The president also paid tribute to the people affected by the mass shooting in Las Vegas as well as touched on the wildfires in California and the recent hurricanes.
