Two drivers hurt in Hamilton Boulevard crash

UPPER MACUNGIE, Pa. - Two people were taken to the hospital after a late afternoon accident on Hamilton Boulevard Friday.

Upper Macungie Police said the accident occurred just after 4:00 p.m. at Hamilton Boulevard at Folk Road.

A Honda Fit driven by Elaine Arnts of Easton was traveling north on Hamilton Boulevard when it struck a Saturn driven by Christian Pearson of Mertztown, according to a news release from police

A third vehicle, operated by Blaine Marles of Perkasie, struck a telephone pole during the accident, police said.

According to police, Arnts and Pearson were taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital.  Their injuries were not specified, but police said they were both wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Upper Macungie Police are continuing to investigate, and ask anyone with information on the accident to contact them.
