US Marshals seek McAdoo man who allegedly threatened president

PHILADELPHIA - The U.S. Marshals, FBI and U.S. Secret Service are looking for a McAdoo man who is wanted for allegedly threatening the president and other elected officials.

Shawn Richard Christy, 27, has state arrest warrants in Pennsylvania for burglary, probation violation and failure to appear for an aggravated assault case, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

U.S. Marshals say a federal warrant was issued on June 19 when Christy made threats on Facebook to President Trump and the Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli.

On July 9, Christy was charged by the Pennsylvania State Police for allegedly stealing a Ford F-350 from his former employer. The vehicle was found 100 yards from the Canadian border.

The U.S. marshals are offering a cash award of up to $5,000 for information leading to Christy's arrest. Anyone with information can contact the U.S. Marshals at 1-877-Wanted-2.
