Wanted by police: Wegmans thief

LOWER NAZARETH TWP., Pa. - Police are looking for a man who allegedly stole merchandise from a grocery store then tried to run over store employees with his car.

Colonial Regional police are asking the public's help to find the man in a surveillance photo released by Wegmans.

The man in the photo stole several items from the Wegmans at 3791 Easton-Nazareth Highway in Lower Nazareth Twp., Northampton Co., officials said.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday.

While store security and a store manager tried to stop the man in the parking lot, he nearly ran over both employees with his car--described as a late model gold Cadillac sedan with NJ plates beginning with C95.

The suspect is described as a white man approximately 6 feet tall, in his 60s.
