LANSDALE, Pa. - A Main Street barbershop in Lansdale, Montgomery County, may advertise itself as the "Finest".
But on Wednesday afternoon police say it was also the scene of several felonies.
"Aggravated assault, simple assault, wreckless endangering and other offenses," Lansdale Detective Sergeant Mike Trail said.
Junior DiBartolo amassed the charges after police say the barber got into a heated argument with another barber, possibly over a customer, inside the shop.
The exchange spilled out to the street.
That's where police say DiBartolo used his scissors to stab the man three times in the side.
"My goodness, totally shocked and appalled," customer Douglass Witherspoon said.
He's now rethinking his trim.
"To be honest with you I'm moving to North Carolina tomorrow, so I'm thinking maybe I should shave my own head," he said.
The owner told us DiBartolo had worked here for several years and has never had a problem with him. It's a sentiment we found all over Main Street. From a next door coffee shop.
"He is always nice and polite. I was surprised by what happened," Maggie McGinty said.
To an across the street health food store.
"Guy was the nicest guy out there came in here and bought bananas all the time," Arnold Kauffman said.
Jose Vazquez has worked alongside both men.
Was there any bad blood brewing between them at all? We asked him.
"None at all," he answered.
The victim is expected to be okay. As for Dibartolo, police say he decided to cut and run. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
"Turn yourself in. That way we can get the matter resolved as soon as possible. Get you into the court system and get this sorted out," Trail said.
