NEW BRITAIN TWP., Pa. - New Britain Township police and the FBI are seeking the public's assistance to identify and locate the "armed and dangerous" bank robber who hit a Wells Fargo Bank in Bucks County Friday.
At 4:22 p.m. Friday, the robber entered the bank at 4275 County Line Road in New Britain Township, in a shopping complex south of Chalfont.
He approached a teller, placed a large blue nylon zip-top bag on the counter and demanded money.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he walked out the front doors and toward the back of the bank building.
The suspect is described as a male with pale, distorted facial features and very large ears. Many witnesses believe he was wearing a full-face mask and wig.
He wore a dark blue hooded zip-front windbreaker, a white flat cap, black glasses with tinted lenses, and tan leather driving gloves with open knuckles. The subject also had an earpiece or earbud in his right ear.
A fairly thick red wire ran from the earpiece down into his jacket.
The individual is considered armed and dangerous, reported police.
They did not reveal what kind of weapon he used in the robbery.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is urged to call the FBI at 215-641-8910 or the New Britain Township Police Department at 215-822-1910.
