Wanted for robbery: Robert Gunther

ELDRED TWP., Pa. - Police are looking for a Kunkletown man in connection with a car sale that went bad.

Two women from Luzerne County met with 22-year-old Robert Gunther at a hotel in Luzerne around 3:20 p.m. on Sunday in response to a Craig's List ad for a car, police said.

Gunther allegedly told the women that the car was at his parents' house in Gilbert, Pa, and he directed them to a dirt driveway on Frable Road in Eldred Twp., Monroe Co.

Police said Gunther then told the women he had a gun and demanded their money.

He got away with an undetermined amount of money, police said.

State police have an arrest warrant for Gunther.

He is 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighs 175 pounds. He has red hair. His last known address was on Butternut Road in Kunkletown.

Anyone with information on Gunther's whereabouts is asked to call state police at Fern Ridge.
