Details on: Trucker Killed in Lehigh Tunnel, Pawlowski Back on Stand, and New Gun Safety Coalition

Tragic Incident Inside Lehigh Tunnel - The coroner says a piece of metal piping crashed through the windshield of a tractor trailer inside the Lehigh Tunnel on the Northeast Extension, killing a New Jersey trucker.  The victim has been identified as 70-year-old Howard Sexton, of East Greenwich Township.  Officials are trying to determine what caused the conduit to collapse.  At last check, southbound traffic was still being diverted onto the northbound side of the tunnel.  WFMZ's Julia Rose will have live updates on 69 News at 4 and 6.

Pawlowski Back on the Stand - Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski is on the stand for a second day in his alleged pay to play federal trial.  During his testimony this morning, Pawlowski talked about allegations surrounding the pool at Cedar Beach.  The pool was designed by Spillman Farmer.  Earlier in the trial, Sam Ruchlewicz, who worked with Pawlowski's Senate campaign testified Pawlowski anticipated a campaign contribution from company in return for the pool contract.  Pawlowski testified today that was not the case and that he signed the contract awarding the job to Spillman Farmer the day after he learned they would not be contributing to his campaign.  Look for live updates from the federal courthouse at 4, 5, and 6.

4 Govs Join Forces on Gun Safety - The governors of Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island are forming a coalition of like-minded gun control states.  The governors announced Thursday the new States for Gun Safety will work on issues such as tracing illegal guns, sharing intelligence and researching gun violence.  They plan to urge other governors to join the effort at this weekend's National Governors Association meeting.
