West Chester reaches NCAA Div. II quarterfinals; Fordham falls

The West Chester Golden Rams are heading to the NCAA Div. II football final four.

West Chester knocked off previously undefeated Shepherd on the road on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.

That earned the Golden Rams a date with top-seeded Lenoir Rhyne next Saturday in the semifinals.

West Chester has never been to the NCAA Div. II championship game.

They can change that with a win next Saturday.

In the FCS playoffs, Fordham, the Patriot League's last standing team, fell 48-28 at Towson in the second round.
