Coroner releases information in killing of gas station clerk

The coroner on Monday released additional information in the death of a man who was shot during the robbery of a gas station last week.

Kismathdas Kasam died of his wound on Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill, Lehigh Co., the coroner said.

Kasam, 47, was shot around midnight on Jan. 5 during a robbery at the BP station in the 700 block of South Main Street in Phillipsburg, N.J.

Kasam was working as an attendant at the station at the time of the holdup, officials said.

Police are still seeking the two gunmen involved in the killing and robbery.

They released a sketch of one robber and described the other as being between 5 feet, 7inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 125 to 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap and dark colored jacket.
