Minister in Hackettstown accused of taking upskirt photos, videos of church worker
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - A minister in Hackettstown turned himself into authorities Thursday, after being accused of taking upskirt photos and videos of a church worker for several years, according to Hackettstown police.
The minister, Terry Herzberg of Tannersville, Pennsylvania, has been charged with third-degree invasion of privacy and third-degree criminal attempt invasion of privacy.
Last summer, police say they spoke to the victim, who saw the minister at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church taking photos of her intimate body parts while she was working at the church.
According to police, a search warrant was issued and authorities seized various electronics from the church and his home.
Police say Herzberg attempted to photograph up the victim's skirt while she was sitting at her desk. Those incidents allegedly occurred between November 5, 2013 and June 27, 2016, according to police.
Police say Herzberg also took a video up her skirt on multiple occasions while she was sitting and standing. This allegedly happened between July 13, 2015 and June 27, 2016, according to police.
Herzberg will have his first court appearance at 1:30 p.m. Thursday,
The Hackettstown Detective Bureau, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office SVU and the New Jersey State Police Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory were involved in the investigation.
