Phillipsburg man charged with theft and forgery, police say

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lopatcong Township Police say they've arrested a man for cashing stolen checks.

Police said Nicholas Flynn, 24, of Phillipsburg, was taken into custody on Thursday after authorities learned that he cashed four stolen checks at the Baker Federal Credit Union in July of 2013. The checks totaled over $3,000, according to police.

Flynn was charged with four counts of forgery and four counts of theft, according to officials. Police said Flynn was released from custody, pending a Superior Court appearance in Belvidere, NJ.
