Pumpkin Sling

HARMONY TWP., N.J. - Smashing pumpkins were a welcome sight in Warren County, New Jersey.

Teams from local schools and other groups competed to see who could hurl pumpkins the farthest during the Last Fling Pumpkin Sling.

The teams began cranking out their handmade hurling devices Saturday.

The event continued Sunday at Millbrook Farm in Harmony Township.

Proceeds from the event will be used to promote local farms, parks and cultural sites.
