Whitehall wins first conference championship since 1984

Whitehall tops Parkland for first league title since 1984

The Whitehall baseball team beat top-seeded Parkland 5-2 Wednesday night to win the 2013 LVC Championship.

It is the first ever LVC Championship for Whitehall and their first league championship since 1984.

Elliot Mortimer allowed just two runs and struck out seven in a complete game shutout for the Zephyrs.

Mortimore also added two RBI at the plate for Whitehall.

The Zephyrs fell behind early 2-0 before closing out the game with five unanswered runs.

Whitehall will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming District 11 4A baseball tournament.
