Wyomissing wallops Imhotep Charter, clinches first state title game berth

Wyomissing earns first trip to state championship game

Wyomissing earned its first ever trip to the state championship game on Saturday with a resounding 35-13 win over Imhotep Charter in the PIAA 2A state semifinals in Philadelphia.

The game marked a battle of unbeatens between 14-0 Wyo and 14-0 Imhotep.

In the end, Imhotep was no match for the rest of the Spartans, who become the first Berks County team ever to win 15 games in a season.

WFMZ's Dan Moscaritolo was at the game, and he'll have a full recap on 69 News Weekend Edition at 6pm and 10pm.
