Police: Walter Rosario-Sales sells marijuana to juvenile, arrested by officers on stakeout

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A man was caught selling marijuana to a juvenile two months ago by undercover police officers looking for a suspect in an attempted homicide, officials said.

Walter G. Rosario-Sales was seen selling two baggies of marijuana to the juvenile at Williams and East 4th streets in Bethlehem at about 3:15 p.m. Feb 4, after the juvenile left a home plainclothes officers were watching, officials said.

Rosario-Sales was found to have six other baggies and $10 in cash, and the juvenile tried to discard the marijuana he had just bought, officials said.

Rosario-Sales, 21, of 1276 Steel Ave., Bethlehem, was arraigned late Monday night on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and drug possession and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $25,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. May 2.
