Two fires in Hamburg, Berks County in two months earlier this year sent people scurrying for safety, and eventually, answers. Now, exactly nine weeks after the latest fire, construction continues in some places, but hasn't even begun in others. WFMZ's Joel D. Smith has the prospects for recovery now in the latest installment of his "Whatever Happened To..." series.    | ||

For today's installment of "Whatever Happened To?", we're taking a different approach. This time, WFMZ's Joel D. Smith is taking a look back and forward when it comes to the special election for state representative a week from today. It's a story where one tragic event led to multiple changes in our state government.    | ||

She was a popular county commissioner who set a record for land preservation.   And for eight years Judy Schwank could be seen at just about every meeting, hearing, or community dinner in the county.   Yet she didn't run for re-election in 2007, and in the time since, she's been out of the spotlight just long enough for WFMZ's Joel D.
