The Allen and Dieruff football teams are making a move to try and be more competitive. Both teams are leaving the LVC and joining the MVC starting next fall.
Allen and Dieruff have gone a combined 1-57 the last three seasons playing the bulk of their games against LVC teams. They feel like they can be more competitive up north against the MVC. The move takes the LVC from 12 teams to 10 teams for football, and means a 9 team league for the MVC.
The deal to change leagues is a four year deal for now, and will be revisited after those four years are over.
