There was a time when the Wyomissing Spartans got to test themselves against their neighbors from Holy Name and battle them for a division title. Now, they're in separate divisions as Wyomissing (6-3) and Berks Catholic (7-3).
Both got off to very good starts this year but on Monday night, Berks Catholic flexed some serious muscle.
The Saints rolled to a 58-35 victory behind a pair of double-doubles from Nana Foulland and Connor Jack.
Foulland scored a team-high 16 points and pulled down 17 rebounds. Jack racked up 11 points and 11 boards.
BC also got double-digit scoring from Chris Warren and Mike Miller.
The Spartans only had three players in the scoring column. Joe Cacchione had the big night, dropping a game-high 18 points.
Both teams will play Tuesday. BC welcomes Hamburg while Wyomissing heads to Brandywine Heights.
