The Brandywine baseball team saw its season come to an end in the PIAA 2A state semifinals on Monday with an 8-7, 10-inning loss to Pine Grove.
Brandywine trailed 6-4 entering the seventh inning, but rallied to take a 7-6 lead.
Pine Grove would tie the game in the bottom of the seventh though, then won it on a Brendon Scheibley RBI double in the 10th.
Brandywine's season ends at 17-8, one win shy of the state championship game.
The win earns Pine Grove a spot in the PIAA 2A state championship, which will be played Friday at 10:30am at Penn State University.
