The Whitehall football program has its next head coach. Brian Gilbert was introduced Monday night. He'll move from assistant to head coach because of Tony Trisciani's departure for Villanova.
Gilbert has been on Trisciani's staff the last couple of years running the offense, and he's put some of the league's best offensive units on the field during that time.
Gilbert's time as head coach at Palisades was also extremely fruitful, he took a terrible program and turned it into an annual playoff team in District 11, he won a Colonial League title and a pair of district titles and took his Pirates to the state tournament during his 9-year tenure. Now, he'll be trying to do the same in Whitehall.
