Catasauqua grad Recker helps Mets beat Marlins
Anthony Recker, a Catasauqua and Alvernia grad, doubled home a run on Saturday in the Mets 4-3 win over the Marlins.
Recker, the backup catcher for the Mets, started the Mets scoring with an RBI double in the 5th inning.
It was Recker's fourth career RBI and third career double.
The Mets eventually won the game on a walk-off two-run single in the 9th inning by former Phillie Marlon Byrd.
