Chip Kelly separates perception from reality concerning his offense
For the last 14-years, it's been Andy Reid at the podium answering questions as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Thursday, players, fans and media alike had a chance to see new head coach Chip Kelly play the part for the first time.
Kelly was introduced as the Eagles' head man down at the Novacare Complex Thursday afternoon.
He noted how difficult the decision was to leave Oregon, a school that he built into a power at the college level.
But he also said that Philadelphia is where he wants to be. One of his top orders of business will be figuring out how to install his up-tempo offense at the NFL level.
Kelly talked about the difference between the "perception" and "reality" of his offense, noting the importance of durability from his quarterbacks.
Kelly also said that no one has been discounted at quarterback just yet, meaning Nick Foles and Michael Vick may battle for the position.
