Parkland, Becahi, and Pen Argyl all earned first round state tournament wins on the softball field Monday. Those wins didn't come without their share of dramatic moments.

Parkland was the only team that had an easy go of things, the Trojans beat Spring-Ford 5-0 and continued to play the dominant brand of softball that's won them a couple of championships this season.

Becahi won 3-2 over Lampeter-Strasburg, and had to score twice in the 8th to earn the win after allowing a run in the top of the 8th.

Pen Argyl fell behind St. Basil's Academy 2-0, but the Green Knights rallied.  They scored a run in the 5th, a run in the 6th, and the game winner on a Brittaney Ruch single in the bottom of the 7th to advance.
