ESPN is reporting that Andy Reid has reached an agreement to become the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The deal came shortly after the Chiefs announced they parted ways with general manager Scott Pioli, sources said.
Reid was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday after a 4-12 season. He was the Eagles' winningest coach, with an overall record of 140-102 in 14 years. Under his leadership, the Eagles made the playoffs nine times in 14 seasons.
The Chiefs are coming off a 2-14 season and haven't won a playoff game since 1993.
