New Orleans Saints unrestricted free agent defensive end Turk McBride has signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN. McBride spent the last two seasons in New Orleans serving primarily as a backup after playing the first three seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions. McBride's departure didn't come as a shock, as he didn't figure prominently in the Saints' plans as they switch from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4 alignment. McBride, 27, played in just 15 games in two seasons with the Saints and compiled only two sacks while battling injuries. In Chicago, McBride is expected to serve as a backup along the Bears' defensive line. He becomes the fourth Saints unrestricted free agent to sign elsewhere, joining tackle Jermon Bushrod (Bears), quarterback Chase Daniel (Chiefs) and linebacker Jonathan Casillas (Buccaneers).
