The Freedom softball team and Saucon Valley baseball team each earned upset wins on Monday as the race for playoff spots in each league heat up.
Freedom earned some redemption against Parkland with a 6-4 win just over a week after losing to the Trojans during the play day event. The loss is the second in LVC play for the Trojans, matching the loss total of the Patriots.
Saucon Valley's upset win was a bit bigger, going to division leader Northwestern and beating the Tigers 6-3. Some freshmen led the offensive attack that saw the Panthers score the first six runs of the game then hold on for the win.
