Georgetown hands Lafayette first Patriot League loss
Lafayette dropped its first Patriot League game of the season in a 20-17 loss to Georgetown Saturday night at Fisher Stadium.
The Leopards committed seven turnovers in the game, including four by quarterback Andrew Shoop.
Shoop also threw a pair of touchdown passes - one to Mark Ross and one Greg Kessel on a flea-flicker.
But his third interception of the night ended the game as Lafayette was trying to drive for a game-tying field goal.
The Leopards fall to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the Patriot League.
