Governor Mifflin's M. Johnson, Boyertown's Wood advance to 3A state semis

Governor Mifflin's Marcus Johnson and Boyertown's Jordan Wood advanced to the PIAA 3A semifinals on Friday at the Giant Center.

Johnson tallied a 6-0 decision over Parkland's Nezar Heddad. He'll face Norristown's Brett Harner in the semifinals Saturday morning.

Marcus' cousin, Jan Johnson, was edged by Hampton's Jacob Hart, 4-3, in the quarterfinals shortly after Marcus' bout.

Wood also scored a win over a Parkland product. He defeated Shaun Heist via decision, 6-1. Wood will meet Zach DeLuca of Central Catholic on Saturday. Bouts begin at 9:00 A.M.
