The Miami Heat, not surprisingly, will have two starters on the Eastern Conference squad for the NBA All-Star Game.

A bit more unexpected was the makeup of the Western Conference team, which features two starters each from the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant joined teammate Andrew Bynum on the West starting squad that included forward Blake Griffin and point guard Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers along with Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Bryant, who was the leading vote-getter in the Western Conference, earned his 14th straight berth to tie Jerry West, Shaquille O'Neal and Karl Malone for the most consecutive selections in NBA history.

It is the first time since 1997 that a two pair of teammates were selected to start for the same conference.

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard was the overall leading vote-getter, heading the East squad that features Miami standouts LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Reigning MVP Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks were also named as starters.

The reserves for each team will be announced on Feb. 9. The All-Star Game is scheduled for Orlando's Amway Arena on Feb. 26.
