Bulls point guard Kirk Hinrich missed Thursday night’s game against the Heat after re-aggravating the right-elbow injury that caused him to miss seven consecutive games heading into the All-Star break. Nate Robinson started in place of Hinrich, who returned to the lineup in Tuesday’s road win over New Orleans. “My scar split open pretty good. I had to get it stitched up the other night after the game and right now, I just don’t have the range of motion that I had,” said Hinrich, who noted that his elbow didn’t get re-infected. “It’s almost like it’s back to where it was. I wouldn’t say I have to do surgery, but it’s definitely had a setback.” Hinrich initially suffered the injury while diving on the floor in a Jan. 7 home victory over Cleveland. While Hinrich will travel to Charlotte with the Bulls after Thursday night’s game against the Heat at the United Center, his status for Friday’s matchup against the Bobcats is uncertain. “I don’t know. It would have to be a lot of improvement. I don’t have the range of motion. I couldn’t do the things I need to do to play basketball right now,” said Hinrich, who was also unsure about whether he would be able to suit Sunday in Oklahoma City. “I felt really fresh the other day in New Orleans. It felt good and I’m just really frustrated with it. I thought we had closed the door on this thing. I don’t know what to say other than I guess if you don’t have bad luck, you have no luck at all. I don’t know. It’s pretty frustrating.”
