Indians, LHP Perez avoid arbitration with pact

The deal between Perez and Cleveland avoided salary arbitration.
Perez had been asking for $2.4 million while the team was offering $1.6 million.
The 29-year-old Perez posted a 5-2 mark with a 3.00 ERA last season with the Indians. He made $1.33 million in 2011.
