The Jacksonville Jaguars made several roster moves Monday, placing defensive tackle Brandon Deaderick (elbow) and defensive tackle Roy Miller (shoulder) on injured reserve and adding defensive tackles Drake Nevis and Kyle Love to the 53-man roster.
Nevis was a third-round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2011 and played in 14 games with three starts over two seasons. He spent this preseason with the Colts before being waived and claimed by the San Diego Chargers. Following his release from the Chargers on Sept. 17, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys. He was waived by the Cowboys last Tuesday after appearing in 11 games.
Nevis has played in 25 NFL games (three starts) with 48 tackles, one sack, four tackles for loss, three quarterback hits and one pass breakup.
Love was cut by the Jaguars in the preseason and signed by the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 19, appearing in one game before being waived Dec. 3. He spent three seasons (2010-12) with the New England Patriots after signing as a rookie free agent in 2010.
He has played in 42 NFL games (25 starts) with 80 tackles, 5.5 sacks, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery.
The Jaguars also signed rookie defensive end Will Pericak and first-year wide receiver Jabin Sambrano to the practice squad.
